In the occasion of big day for India, on January 25 eve of the 74th Republic Day ,the government of India announced one Padma Vibhushan and 25 Padma Shri Awards. The Padma Vibhushan will be awarded posthumously in the field of Medicine (Pediatrics) to Dilip Mahalanabis, who came up with ORS.
The Padma Awards are the India's highest civilian honor's after the Bharat Ratan, Seeking to "recognize achievements in all the field of activities or disciplines where an element of Public Service is involved".
So like every year, this year also Padma Awards given only to deserving people another milestone for government.
Recognizing unsung heroes from diverse sections of society and regions of the Nation has truly become a hallmark of #PeoplesPadma #PadmaAwards.
